Coming from a managerial background, Emma’s experience shows in the calm and efficient way she cares for the home as a whole, as well as knowing and caring for all the residents individually. She has experience of medical issues and regularly liaises with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the very best care for our residents. She loves her job and it shows!
With over 40 years nursing experience, Sandi brings a lifetime of clinical knowledge to her role as Supervisor. Leading the floor team, she oversees the smooth running of the shift, using her calm, matronly manner to solve the issues of the day with ease. Sandi is the Infection Control Lead for the Home and is dedicated to cleanliness and hygiene. She supports the Teaching team, imparting her knowledge of resuscitation, medication administration and moving and handling to Junior staff and updating current staff. And she bakes a mean Baileys Cheesecake for the residents every Christmas!
Shayne is a breath of fresh air at Compton View. As Supervisor, her main area of expertise is Rehabilitation and Activities. Shayne runs a tight ship, but a fun one! She has endless ideas, boundless energy and a real dedication for the elderly folk in her care.
As the Home’s chief cook, Judith has run the kitchen for many years. Her skill is obvious as soon as you walk through the door and the smell of home cooking greets you. She slow cooks all the meats to ensure they’re soft and tender and bakes cakes and pies to her own special recipe. She is able to make even the strictest dietary requirements tasty and goes out of her way to ensure that every resident has a plate tailored to their needs. A diamond amongst gems we would be lost without her!
Linda leads the night team, looking after the safety of all the residents and the security of the home at night. She is an experienced carer of many many years and her dedication shines through every task. She is also the Home’s Fire Marshall, undertaking regular fire safety checks and putting our staff through their paces in regular fire drills. She is a no-nonsense matron with a real passion for elderly care. And it shows!
